[Milsurplus] RTTY remote scope aboard ship

I have a couple of USN remote RTTY (RATT) indicator scopes - IP-352/UR
and earlier OSA

The CRT display lets you tune in a RTTY signal properly and duplicates
the displays found in the actual RTTY converters.

My question is - has anyone ever seen one of these actually installed shipboard?
Where would you install it? - next to the RTTY converter you were adjusting?
In the radio room with the receivers so you could yell to the RM in
the next compartment to adjust the damn converter?
In the message center with the TTYs so you could yell to the RM in the
next compartment to adjust the damn converter?
In the mess when you were offshore out of TV range and desperate for
entertainment?
(Rice-man's suggestion) In the head to alert the RM to go adjust the
damn converter.

None of these make a lot of sense to me. Any info (and especially a
photo!) will be appreciated.
cheers,
