I have what I believe to be a Univac or ERA Antenna Coupler that I would
like to find out information on before I just tear into it. I have no
idea if this unit has any significance so before I go messing with it am
trying to find as much information as I can. My intention is to try and
use it for remote matching of long wire vertical assuming the interface
is workable.
There is a DD Form 1574 tag attached stating the unit is serviceable and
has 5821-00-927-0416 7010340 Univac Coupler written in the block for
FSN, Part NO and Item Description. There are no plates or markings on
the unit itself, they were removed.
Connectors are a C for RF with XMTR 1A5J1designation and a Control
Connector that is 20 pin male hermetic round course thread with 1A9J5
marked on unit.
The only other markings are on the cover that appears to be the control
end "Caution Remove Cover and Unsolder RF Connector to Network Before
Detaching Discriminator."
Any information or pointers as to where I can get any information would
be appreciated. I did find http://vipclubmn.org/couplers.aspx web page
and the units depicted there are very similar with the exception that
the mounting feet on this unit are rotated 90 degrees with respect to
the control end (left on the photos).
Thanks for any help.
