I understand they had a problem. Don't know what.
The Alexanderson Alternator I know about was at
Marion, MA, on 25.8 KHz. It sent RTTY at 60 wpm.
Oh, Yes, it did. I was told by the Airmen that worked
there that the antenna relay that keyed the Marks and
Spaces would make an arc, which was not good. The
fix was to aim a hand-held hair dryer at the relay.
I tested at Andrews AFB, and in Alaska when the
DEW Line was being built.
A frequency of 17.2 KHz will maybe scare all the dogs.
