Hi,
I have a Frequency Meter FR-114 A/U here that I am never, ever going to
use again. I am hoping this unit can find a good home somewhere. I am
not going to bother myself about an eBay listing or any of that
foolishness. If I can't find somebody who wants it enough to pay for the
shipping (or come and get it) I'll use it as a parts mule even though
most of the parts (vacuum tube numeric displays, etc) won't really be of
any use. If I can't find a home for the unit as-is soon I will part it
out and maybe some people will need parts to keep their own meter
running.
It's a big, heavy frequency counter (about 1 mc) with triggers, one
shots, and period measurements that is all vacuum tube technology (for
those who didn't know). If you know anybody who is not on the list and
might be interested by all means hook us up. Anybody who IS interested
please email me off list and state your case (what are you gonna do with
it?). I can part it out without any packing/shipping hassles at all. If
you want to trade something for it think small, think QRP, think home
brewing materials both vacuum and solid state. But even without trade
fodder I will still send it away.
I have tried a more conventional sale effort in the past but getting to
the shipping had interested people getting shy and kicking some sand
with their toe, etc. So I'm listing it here and if nothing happens this
time it will disappear into the parts bins and the scrap yard. To sum
up...it's free to a good home for the cost of getting it there. It
doesn't have any real value any more as a bench instrument. Any little
parts n stuff you wanna send me is just icing on the cake.

Bill KU8H
