WWII RADAR and IFF gear was really looked down upon by hams of the 50s and
60s. All that gear became 'parts mules' or was 'converted' to other
things. Sunday, I saw a poor Rebecca (BC-929-A) that I would have bought
in a heartbeat, had someone not ripped out much of the insides.

As a result, the survivors, even if in bad condition, are now prized.

A specific example is a UK display that was widely converted to TV in the
mid 1950s, now brings well over $10,000 in almost any condition.
