Sometimes you can find overstocked or stale dated Dow Corning Silicone Stopcock Grease (for chem labs) at dirt cheap prices compared to the DC 4 product made for the electronic market. It works just fine as a connector lube. I got tubes for a buck each at a local surplus joint a few years ago. AF6IM
