[Milsurplus] Radios in movies

I guess i have clocked enough hours on Terra that i have a low BS treshold whether for religious theories or war movies or whatever. It has to at least be on its face, plausible.
I remember in grade school the Saturday Matinee. The U.S. cavalry arrived just in the nick of time to save the fort.
Jonathan Winters had a joke about that scene, but it's one no longer suitable for open - air  broadcast.
