Ah yes. He must have had quite a collection. He sent me a part missing from my WWI  D.T.W. German army spark transmitter. Who has spares for such a thing ???
I remember now his deaccession sale on Ebay. I bought a GRC-13 from him. Thanks for reminding me  and your comments.
One of the things August got from me was a one - tube, front mounted spherical tube, Navy receiver, removed from a minesweeper after WWI. Oh, and a Grebe CR-1 which Wm. Randolph Hearst bought as a gift. Of the stuff i got in this big trade is a Japan army HRO with the complete coils set and the plug-in IFs necessary for the low freqs.
