[Milsurplus] RMCA CRM-5A VLF - LF receiver ???

What's with this receiver ? An all transistor VLF -LF regen, way past the time when a simple regen
would have been manufactured. Or was this thing some totally homebuilt set by some nut ? But
it looks too good for that. What gives ? The freq dial looks same as the WW2 Liberty Ship regen
receiver. " $400 or best offer".
