Some decades back i looked into the disappearance of a freighter ship in the North Atlantic, i think in late 1940s. My interest was further raised when i read the Brit Minstry inquiry and learned the ship had the Marconi 730 regen receiver - and did i read this right ? A spark type transmitter. ( Please do not tell me spark was illegal at the time. ) I wanted to look up this information but it seems to have disappeared.
IF you perchance remember something of this incident, please tell me of some real world useful clue i can use to access the story. General admonitions like "Google is your friend" are not helpful.
Which reminds me: on my to - do list is to look up the people who went aboard the wrecked USS General Meigs off the Olympic Peninsula, WA state. Time runneth out.
The 730 is another story. I thought i was gonna be rolled instead of buying an antique radio.
