[Milsurplus] "BC means Basic Component"

it stands for Set, Complete, Radio.
I’ve read that in several era documents.
The only document I have on hand ( post era ) is “World War Two
Nomenclature Systens” by Ray Mote W6RIC dated 6 Jan 1994 Section 3.0.
