I am the Moderator for this group and David's public complaint ("Dear 
Mailman") was obviously directed to me.  For one, I found Bill's 
postings to be informative and while they had several references to 
dealer's web sites, they contained just as many references to 
non-commercial user groups.

Bill, because your postings are relatively large and contain mostly 
static information, I invite you to post updates to them here on 
perhaps a monthly or quarterly basis.

David, while I realize it is a mild shock for a quiet group like ours 
to suddenly burst into activity with what appears to be commercial 
advertising, I suggest you read the messages through to get a feeling 
for the context in which the commercial references are made.  Is the 
poster simply trying to direct you to a potential source of the gear 
or is he some backdoor representative for them.  If Bill does, in 
fact, represent these commercial companies, he must work for a great 
many of them--I counted references to no less than fifteen different ones.

In my view, Bill's postings, taken as a whole, are non-commercial, 
informative and, if posted at reasonable intervals, welcome on the 
Mobile-Portable Reflector.
