I concur with Terry. The WJ-8718MFP is my "go to" receiver. Even its older brother, the 8718A, which doesn't have all the ergo conveniences, is still very friendly to operate. I still have Racal and Harris stuff around, but the WJ radios seem to the first ones to get used during a listening session. One thing is the serviceability of the WJ gear and the availability of replacement boards. And, the used market prices are usually pretty reasonable when you consider the bang-for-the-buck.
Just an opinion.

I'm surprised no one mentions the WJ-8718/MFP. It's always been my
favorite. Great performance. Graceful ergonomics. And the extendable
card cage design is far easier to repair than the kludged layout of the
6790. I've fixed plenty of both and won't buy another of those Racals.
Don't confuse the MFP, Microprocessor Front Panel, with the plain
WJ-8718, which a dull box to operate.
