[Yaesu] [Kenwood] Watch out for a scam by Alex Barski. VE3XAX

What I find most upsetting about this is that the scammer is in all likelihood a ham, based on his apparent familiarity with ham equipment. Whatever happened to the internatonal brotherhood of hams who are "considerate ... loyal ... friendly" (ARRL Amateur's code - 1986 Handbook)? -- oh yeah, it doesn't say "honest".

Color me naive.

He is certainly not going to get a Western union payment. But I intend stringing
him along a bit.

I've sent the individual at

http://www.qsl.net/ve3xax/

who has a yahoo email address a copy of the email I received. He has confirmed
this is a scam, and that he has no AT-230 to sell.

So as I suspected, this is a scam. The person claiming to be Alex Barski.
VE3XAX is an impostor.
