Those parts designations sound more like the ones in the FT-1000D series.
They were using the 8700 series numbering system.
I plan to pull mine apart in a few days for some unrelated work and will try
to identify the relay in my MP better. I have already looked through the
manuals on the "D" and found the two T/R relays completely different. The
"D" uses a 9v coiled relay where the MP is12v. I will try to identify a
replacement but I am not sure how much help that will be if the MKV and
Field are different. We may be talking about 2 or 3 different relays used
for the T/R switching relay depending on model and vintage. If the foot
print is the same maybe we can come up with a replacement that will deal
with the problems...
The help I could use at this point would be to attempt to identify the
differences, if any, between the different models and vintages...
A Google search for the Suppliers P/N last night turned up very little
except a hit on AGY2323-9 which was made by Panasonic. They must have
gotten out of the relay business because I can find no reference to relays
made by them. More research to be done....
Cecil...
