I would think most of them are useable. The one I offer as a kit has a CMOS square wave output ~3V peak to peak into a 50 ohm load. It tunes 3.5Mhz to 160Mhz + (and up to 1.4Ghz with other Si570 chips), has IF offsets, 1000 memories, etc, etc. I think this is something someone should try, add some filtering to make it a sine wave, etc. http://www.qsl.net/k5bcq/Kits/Kits.html

Is anyone out there developed a DDS VFO for use with BA Tranmitters and Receivers?

In our day and age it seems that Common Sense is in short supply. If you don't have any Common Sense - get some Common Sense and use it. If you can't find any Common Sense, ask for help from somebody who has some Common Sense. Is Common Sense divine?
