Hi Lee,
I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I have been using
an FCC-1/2 as a DDS VFO for several of my BA rigs for the past couple
of years. The only thing I had to add was a transformer to get the
higher voltage needed by the Oscillator tube. I've used this with a
DX-60B, CE-20A, and an Adventurer. It sure is nice to set the
frequency and not hear any drift. The transformer is 16 turns of #28
(not critical) bifilar, on a T68-6 core. The two wires are connected
as follows: wire 1-A (to FCC-1/2), wire 1-B (to ground), wire 2-A (to
BA), wire 2-B (to ground). I programmed an offset into the FCC-1/2 so
that it isn't in the way during the Receive Mode. When I go into the
Transmit Mode, the FCC-1/2 is right on the desired frequency. Note
that this requires an additional switch to put the FCC-1/2 into the
Transmit Mode. I've used a footswitch, or another set of contacts
that close in the Transmit Mode. You can also key the FCC-1/2, but
that got kinda complicated. A Spot Switch is used for tuning the
FCC-1/2 to match the received signal's frequency.
Hope this helps.
