Actually, certain values of BB's are theoretically worth much more. Vintage 
 Fender and Gibson guitars use them in the tone control circuits, and 
restorers  of these instruments INSIST that only the original type will give the 
same tone.  When I asked why an old leaky capacitor was desirable, I was 
told that the  leakage was an essential characteristic. I then asked why you 
couldn't take  an ordinary new capacitor and put a resistor around it to 
"simulate" the  leakage. I didn't get an answer. :-) I guess it is all in the eye 
of the  beholder.
