Hi Larry,
I made a post on them recently, but don't find it now. Just go to
Mouser.com & search on "Kobitone microphone" and you'll see their
several offerings. It'll be obvious which 2 are the possibilities by
the image. Both xtal I think, slightly different dia.s & impedances.

No doubt about it the meter switch should be replaced as it is quite erratic but whether one could be found or not is another subject. Secondly taking the front panel off, removing the side screws will be a chore. So it's working better than it was anyway.

So happens i've got 3 of these D-104's so i took the heads off of all three and hooked them up to the mic connector with a "kluge". We all know what that is right? One of the heads i could get some modulation indication but not what it should be. The other two, nada. Now i thought that was a bit of an odd coincidence. verified wiring from the G stand cthru the cable clear into pin one of the 6au6. Everything checks ok. Just no audio. SO it looks like i need to purchase a couple of those substitute mics from Mouser. Can someone furnish a number? I recall seeing that they had a different part number than previously. Appears i'm going to need 3 of them to be on the same side.

With some modulation from the one mic cart it does indicate upward modulation as well so i think i'm on the right track. Looking forward to getting the ol' gal back on the air.
