[ETO_Alpha] Alpha 87A Fan Noise

I had an unusually loud noise on my 87a - drove me nuts - I thought it was
the fan. I followed the instructions to the letter on the setup manual when
putting the transformer on the chassis. I even talked to the Alpha folks
about changing out the fan. What it turned out to be was the copper
shielding on the "Output T/R compartment" (owner's manual Page 8) that was
vibrating against the aluminum strip that runs from the back of the chassis
to the front where the top of the cabinet attaches with screws. I placed a
very small piece of rubber in between the copper shielding and the aluminum
strip, and the noise diminished dramatically. You may want to check that out
