Wayne,

I have worked on most Teletype machines, from the 12 to the 37. If
you would like my personal opinion... I would clean up the 32 and let
it sit as a static display. The 32, 33, and 38 were all low cost
machines and are very frustrating to work on. I believe the 28 ASR
to be one of the finest machines Teletype ever made. I suggest you
concentrate on it. Manuals are available on both machines, and you
can probably find much of what you need on line at http://www.rtty.com

If the 32 you have is a former TELEX all you have to do us hook up
120 - 130 volts DC, 60 ma to the mounting cord. To work in the local
mode the dial has to be blocked in an off-normal position.

If you want to see a 32 in action with great detail, watch your TV
Guide for a documentary on the life of Robert MacNamara. The working
title was "Wilson's Ghost" We provided all of the IBM and Teletype
support for the movie.

Good luck,

Don
