[GreenKeys] SELCAL - auto start proposed

Hi,

Well if we are going off into the wild blue yonder and getting all high
tech about things here's what I would vote for:

A dual band out (we have two 3 KW Collins transmitters)
Quad+ band in (receivers are easy to find)
Cross band / multi band HF RTTY *repeater*

In and out on the same HF band is a little tough but not out of the
question. Ten meter FM repeaters run ok at about a 100KHz split. That
suggests we could get down around a 10KHz split on 80 meters. Of course
10 meter cavities are a bit bigger than the average long bed pick up
truck (they hang off the back and over the front of the truck). This
might make shipping the 80 meter versions a bit tough via UPS .....
Crystal filters might be a better idea shipping wise.

I also ran a bbs for a lot of years. I'd still vote for a repeater. I
always had fun on RTTY repeaters.

	Take Care!
