Jeffrey, you need to check Hal's site.  The ST-8000 and 8000A do NOT have a 
loop supply built in.  They only have RS-232 and Mil 188 IO's.  Bill Henry 
advised another Greenkeyer recently on here that the price of the outboard 
(LP1200 I think) loop would be too high priced for our liking, and I think 
there might even have to be a minimum quantity order to get them built. 
Yes, you could build a loop supply and key it from the data IO's, but that's 
not really a "newbie" project.
