The HAL ST-8000A appears to be a very close relative of the
Frederick Electronics 1280(A)...most 1280's were MIL188 or
RS232 output, only...I never saw one with a HV loop, although
I'm sure it was an option.  The 1280's show up on Ebay once in
awhile and in government auctions. They are pretty comlpex
units...
