Thank you again to Jason for selling it to me.

And a special thanks to Heinz H. Blumberg for taking the time to put up
will all my endless questions about what's this? How do I? Where do I find?
and so forth.

Work on the Lorenz is progressing. Slowly, but it is moving forward.

The first thing to do was to see if it runs. It did. Sort of.

Next up was to see what the previous owner did to it. (Not Jason, but
the guy he got it from.) Typical Amateur radio operator, "I don't know
what this is so I'll remove it." Sigh... and the of course, the added
wires and such, open fuses (from wrong guesses etc.)

Heinz sent me a care package full of hardware, missing covers, cables
connectors and the main interface plate.

So we're much closer now to having a fully functional Lorenz as it was
intended to operate.

Not that I don't have enough to do with my time, but Heinz also sent me
the information for the dialer and the specifications as to the sequence
it connects to the "network" with. So, I'll be writing some Basic Stamp
software to "fake that" so I can "dial into my various modems.

Yeah, what can I say, I'm a hopeless romantic to having all the knobs and
buttons work right.

It may not be a Model 28 ASR with a stunt box, but the wife thinks it is a
very pretty cabinet. So that's the important part.
