You can sign up for notices from the Government Auctions website.

I have passed along some of them.  Several of us on Greenkeys have bid  
on items.
At least one fellow has one a couple of these auctions.

I used to work on Teletype machines for the Coast Guard.  I was
stationed in New York and our facility overhauled them.  They were kept
at a couple of different places,one of which was a warehouse on
Governors Island.  Governors Island was however returned to the city of
New York, but you might try the Brooklyn Navy yard.  They had a lot of
warehouse facilities and the government used to sell at auction all
sorts of obsolete comms gear.  Good luck.  Wish I knew someone to put
you in touch with there, but it's been too long.
