A friend of mine has a mac pro - several years old - that 
boots XP just like it's native system (in fact - when I 
first installed XP on that computer - it booted faster than 
my HP - which was near the fastest they made (again - at the 
time)).  So that is an option for those who have Intel 
processor Macs...   Then any windows program runs fine - and 
yes we have USB-Serial adapters on it and they run fine in XP.

So Don - you weren't that far off after all...
