We use considerable amounts of silicone grease on rubber O-rings for
glass tube
fittings on the vapor phase cooling systems in our transmitters, as well
as the
O-rings in transmission line connectors and wave guide connectors and never
any problems that we are aware of, where the silicone grease attacks the
rubber.

I'd say that every Andrew coaxial connector with rubber O-rings and gaskets
contains a small tube or two of silicone grease.
