[GreenKeys] ST-8000 Mark Space Baud Rate Tuning

Herb - I had an encoder go bad on one of my ST-8K's a few years back....someone had opened it up previous to me and the cover was off.  I resoldered all the PCB connections and the encoder came back to life.  Hopefully it's not a totally bad unit as replacing it would be very pricey.  Before I did any surgery though you may just want to check the cable that connects the encoder on the front panel to the PCB....hopefully a little DeOxit might fix the problem.

Can you still choose the tone pairs that are in memory?  An associated problem with the unit is the NVRAM chip that holds the memories runs out of battery life after about 10 years.  If that's your problem as well let me know and I'll send you some info on a simple fix for that issue.
