I'm mostly a "lurker" and have been for years.

Not even a HAM operator, yet have been a "teletype junkie" since the late 60's.
I've been delighted to have ITTY since inception.

I've never met any of you and certainly not George but I am touched by his generosity in making solid plans to see that ITTY remains for all of us to use and enjoy. It really is a wonderful thing to have something (other than just internal tapes) for these classics to type. (Much is also to be said for being responsible and forward thinking enough to make sure that your enjoyment for these very heavy and cumbersome items does not turn into a burden for loved ones in years to come.)

Yep, I've had some of the same ailments as many of you for years now. The glow and warmth of tubes in radios, the smell of warmed machine old and electrolytic devices, an occasional whiff of ozone and the syncopated clatter of keys and type boxes hitting the paper. It's all a symphony to me.

It's a special "club" indeed. Thanks Mr. George for all you do, have done and continue to do, and in many cases for people (like me) you'll likely never meet.
