The one I was interested in running is rtty12g - you can google for it,
it's all over the web.  It's written in BASIC and comes with source.
I tried it under Windows XP and it runs and gets the baud rate correct,
but doesn't set the UART to 5-bit characters; you get 8 bit characters
with, unfortunately, the last 3 bits spacing.  If they were marking it
would work, but would just be slow.

BTW it is possible to get Linux to set a Real COM port to 45.45 baud -
I was given the incantation once.  In fact HeavyMetal does it.  It
involves setting the custom divisor the the magic value.
