[GreenKeys] Teletype oil KS-7470/Hammond Tonewheel Organ oil

Interesting...

I have two hobbies that require a bespoke lubricating oil.
Teletypes, and Hammond "tonewheel" organs.

I have an RT-3 model, which is the "concert" version of the famous "B-3",
and has the same tonewheel generator device on board, which has to be
"started" first, then switched to "run". The oil for it is still
"semi-available" through various sources, and not too different from the
3-in-One "motor oil" product. It does have to be able to "wick". The
tonewheel generator mechanism uses reservoirs and silk thread "wicks" to
transport the oil to the mainshaft, clutches, tone wheel shafts and related
bushings. Quite fitting, since Laurens Hammond started out with clocks...

I wonder how Hammond organ oil would compare to KS-7470? That would be
interesting.
