[GreenKeys] Any F&T Comptometer heads out there? Help needed with Model J

I'm working with a recently-acquired Model J, and have a couple of
questions. Presently, I'm trying to understand an issue, where anytime I
install the 1 key in a certain column, it causes the whole column to
lock-up - except for the 1 key.

All other columns seem OK, so far. This issue cropped-up during reassembly
after removing the keys & keyplate for cleaning, and to correct an issue
with the column lock mechanism.

(The column lock wasn't functioning in one column, but I was able to locate
and correct the trouble - a little rust binding the column lock piece. And
no, the present 'problem' column isn't the same one that needed the repair
work).

Any help appreciated!
