Mine has Bookface Academic which is a good general purpose
typeface. Somewhere on the web I found PDF versions of the handbooks
but don't have any idea where now. I've also seen a series of video
instructions for IBM repair men on the machines. Again, its too long ago
to remember where. One of my friends has a neighbor who is a retired
IBM training person who conducted classes for corporate typists. When
you bought a Selectric you bought a whole service, not just the
machine. They had people who would keep the machines tuned up and
working properly. FWIW I don't much like the keyboard feel of mine, its
too much like a hard computer keyboard. I use manual typewriters
fairly often and still work out on a mechanical manual frequently to
keep up strength in my hands. I find it help my arthritis. I am not a
speed merchant but can do pretty well. A friend who is a legal
secretary can do over 100 WPM. I won't even try.
