I was going to say the same thing: it sounds like there's a stunt box 
fork set up for non-printing on the semicolon code.  Short of pulling 
the stunt box, Jim's advice is good to manually work the motor and watch 
what happens.  Leave loop on the keybd and selector magnets with the 
motor off so you can see which forks engage on what codes.
