No matter which oil or penetrant you prefer, heating the stuck bearing
will greatly help freeing it up. Heat softens the varnish created when
oil gets rancid and helps the chosen solvent dissolve it. Good judgement
in the source of heat and ultimate temperature is crucial. My favorite
method where there are no plastic or other easily meltable parts is to
use drops of oil as a heat bridge between the tip of a large soldering
gun and the shaft or bearing to be freed, triggering the heat on and off
to keep the oil sizzling but not smoking.
