As there are only 100 opinions I might as well give mine..

I only use 2 things Kroil if a small amount is needed.

Home made Ed's Red for the other mix of Acetone, ATF, Kerosene, and one
other.  Just do a Google search for it.

Oh, and never spray WD 40 near anything that you do not want to gum up in
time.. Just thought I would keep stirring the thread.

Mine is a mixture of acetone and ATF, shaken (not stirred) and applied 
immediately. It'll separate out if you leave it sit.
