The URL for that area is regularly mentioned in The LOWDOWN, sometimes in the LF Notebook column, and other times in connection with articles whose illustrations are included there.

That's one of the purposes of the LW Message Board.  I'd be delighted to see more use along those lines.  If there might be another way of handling such items, and enough demand for a separate area, we could see about implementing such.
