Not getting a lot of HiFER reports from this part of the country (Utah)
I decided to take a look this morning to see what I could see in the
HiFER area.
At least in my area, there isn't a lot of "crud" in the band - and I was
able to hear, with ear, HiFER AZ fading in and out. The measured
frequency was 13.554419 MHz at first, but over the source of 30 minutes
or so it had drifted to 13.554415 MHz at the moment of the capture of
the image:

As implied by the filename, this was captured at 1522 on 9/30/03
During the strongest periods of the signal (not shown) there was about
1-2 Hz chirp visible.
I went looking for other HiFERs, but none were visible at the time.
I also looked on the 2^12 band and saw a few signals - but I didn't
investigate closely...
Re: KFI-640 wobblings:
A recent capture of KFI-640 (and friends) is shown at::
http://www.ussc.com/~turner/KFI_200309290600.gif
The frequencies shown are about 1.3 Hz higher than reality. One can see
KFI doing it's thing, as well as Mr. Sawtooth and the "other" wandering
signal as well. This image is similar to another one:
http://www.ussc.com/~turner/KFI_A1.GIF
Taken on or about 8/11/03.
Also, FWIW, KSL-1160 is now about 2.06 Hz low in frequency: It's moved
up by about 0.1 Hz in the past 6 weeks or so.
