The largest air-navigation loss of ww2 was a flight of some 90 B-24s
on a mission fm somewhere is. to somewhere-else is. in the sw Pacific.

R-T assignment only gave nominal xtra time for route mis-calc/winds.

About all ditched in sea & some 40 crews lost

Wonder if someone shut of the YG ant the home-base island. Or it broke

Sri about the vague data, but this oughta seed a detail-finding fling

Know 1st hand about all Marine/Navy island bases had a YG & later a A-N
radio range. AAF shared some fields & that w/o much question is where
the ZB/946s went.

Nav-ships radio notes YG-ZB an amazingly ingenious 1938 design.
